CNET is one of the largest media outlets in the technology space. I joined the squad as an associate producer in 2013 when CNET’s YouTube channel had below 20K subscribers. All producers were required to be one-person production machines, owning everything in a production pipeline from pitching and story research all the way through post-production and publish.

With such a high output, I was really able to become a confident story finder, camera operator, and field producer. Spending thousands of hours in Adobe Premiere helped me really develop a feel for how an edit should match a story. In 2019, I became the New York office’s Creative Lead and co-managed our YouTube channel, learning the ins and outs of platform-specific optimization.

I left CNET in 2021 as a Senior Producer. The YouTube channel had recently surpassed 3 million subscribers and videos that I produced and edited tallied 12M+ views and 30K subscribers in 2020 and 2021.
