Mabel Miyasaki, 98, is a sassy second-generation (Nisei) Japanese American, born and raised in Colorado. In Mochi Mamas, Mabel tells of how her mother taught her the New Year's Day tradition of making mochi and how she's passed it on to her daughters and granddaughters.
